Round The Bays 2017 with Team Kemsol

It was time again this year for the Kemsol Social Club team to participate in the annual 8.4km Ports of Auckland Round The Bays fun run and this year was no exception! Even though there were a few showers on the day last Sunday, the rain didn't manage to dampen the sunny morale of our runners, who remained cheery and focused throughout the whole day. This was a great chance for the company to bond together in a fun social event and with a team-building exercise that also helps the community and supports charities.
The gloomy weather didn't last, and the rain cleared up shortly in the afternoon, leaving the rest of the day a humid, but cool and breezy, and comfortable temperature for our team to finish the run.
This year we had a few runners with injuries - including sprained ankles, hip joints and strained calves but it was great to see the determination and motivation with everyone being able to complete the run - with several beating their times last year!
Overall, Round The Bays 2017 was yet again another fantastic event, and with reports of well over 24,000 participants running this year, we look forward to taking part again in 2018!
